Hello all. I know this has been asked 100 times, but I'm wondering what oil you use and why. I'm looking to quiet down the shifting "clunk" and protect the innards of my bones with the slickest of the slick. Convert me to your way of thinking!!! lol

BTW, I currently run HD Syn in all three holes (5w 30w I believe). Heard good things about Royal Purple and Mobil One...
You want a motorcycle oil in the primary(no friction modifier). Same can be used in engine, but some use regular motor oil in the engine too. 20W-50.
AMSOIL and Mobil are good options. RP is questionable, but still an option.
I use Spectro 6speed 75-140 in the tranny. Most noticible benefits, No more problems finding neutral and maybe smoother shifting. Can't say it's done much if anything for the occassional clunking. I don't believe there's any magic to the brandname.
I use Mobile Vtwin 20-50 in the engine. Tolerates temps to 300 and contains more anti-wear additives such as phosphorus. Also runs about 5 degrees cooler on average compared to wife's Deluxe.
I use HD Formula + in the primary just because.
