Hello all.....brand new here. Just purchased a 2005 duece, chopper blue pearl with 1800 miles, paid $14,700 i did alot of research on what to spend and thought this gave me the most bang for my buck.
I was looking at buying new and was torn between the duece and the vrod but when i saw this bike i hopped on it right away.
Is there anything i should look for mechanically or cosmetic that any of you have had problems with?
What add ons would be worth putting on? or is the stock bike great the way it is?
This is my first HD and I will probably come here to ask alot of questions.
Thanks in advance for all who reply.
Cant wait to ride it........will post pics when i get it home
Congrats on the new scoot! You'll soon find out that a LOT of parts fit all softails EXCEPT Deuce. Just ride it for a bit until you know what you want to change. Be safe!
Congrats on the new Deuce. The first thing that I did before my bike left the dealerhip was to do the stage 1 with remap and new exhaust. The stock exhaust is a little too quiet for my likes. Hope that this helps you out. Good luck with the new bike.
Congrats Paul - sounds like you got a good deal - has the bike already got the stage 1 kit and new pipes?? Dealers usually push those mods immediately, the orig owner may have already handled that for you. Ride Safe!!
New exhaust!! I rode my g'pas superglide and it was like riding a metric!! I came home and rode my night train and the rumble reminded me I own a harley.
