Hey guys, i have a quick inquiry. I am thinking about purchasing a set of Carlini Drag bars with 9 inch rise for my 08 night train. my question is this: have any of you installed this set on a night train, and if so, is it possible to install with stock cables (clutch, throttle, etc.)?
I've tried about 6-8 different bar/riser configurations on my NT, and have yet to change any of the cables/wires, etc.
The 9" risers, with stock bars, will pose no problem, and should take all of 10-15 minutes to swap. Have fun!
I had mine on with the stock cables and when I ordered a set of braided cables I went up an inch all around and wish I hadnt. Stock cables and 9" riser bars like the carlini's? No issues. Mine are street slammers. Same-Same.
I installed HD "Street Slammer" last weekend. It was well worth my time. I used stock clutch cable and brake lines. I had to extend the wires as I've hidden all wires inside the bar. It is very comfotable bar and bring your seat position back about 4-5 inches. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a riser or a bar for the NT.
