I can vouch for the Harley swirl remover. I then use Protectall for all my normal polishing/waxing work using several micro fiber cloths. It is the cat's meow!

some good info, i really need to buff the tank out on my 07 as its dulled up some around where my legs hit and has some swirls in the gas lid area also from the same stupid mistake. I may go buy some stuff and maybe a small orbital buffer.
i dont find the regular random orbitals do much more than working it by hand, the porter cable, dewalt etc one is great and i have one and it is the best for ultimate results. Worked on a friends tank and fender, a 2000 sporty that was neglected for years, went thru the process and it looked brand new everyone was blown away. If you can find a random orbital on sale than it is worth it...otherwise go for the real mccoy and get the portercable with some buffing pads by a company called EDGE, they have a new quick attach detach system, much better than the velcro backing plate. Good luck.
Sorry to rehash a old thread but I was looking for some good products to use. I have a butt load of swirls on my tank. been there since I got the bike. I noticed it but it never got on my nerves until I got the new Meguiars mirrior bright wax and it brought every single swirl out. I almost fainted in the driveway. does the meguiars swirl remover do a good job? I like meguiars products. ive always had the best results with them
I use all Meguires products. Yes, the scratch x does a nice job of removing swirl and dull marks. I do prefer to do everything by hand.
A member on here with a black bike taught me to go back and forth when polishing and not in circles. This reduces light swirl marks that are seen when the sun shines on the paint.
I think Saturday morning since its going to be raining Im gonna get some dawn , wash the bike, specifically the painted surfaces, dry it , clay bar it out real nice, hit it with some swirl X and then probably 2 coats of wax to protect it!
