+1 for Hd nostalgiic or baileys. I got the nostalgic at 30% discount when local HD had xmas sale. I also purchased a tint windshield from a forum member. He ended up with the Bailieys as a replacement.
I'm 5'7'. windshield is a little high for me. So I'll shave it down eventually. I'm deciding if I'm converting over to a spring solo seat. If that's the case, the spring seat will give me the nose height. The tinted one is very light tint. I like the setup...

I have the HD Nostalgic low profile. It's lightly tinted. I'm 6' and it hits me just right. In a relaxed position I'm still looking over the shield. Had one on my previous bike that I looked through when riding. I got used to it but I like looking over better.

Memphis Shades makes replacement shields that you use with the Harley hardware in various sizes and color combinations. Both my wife and I have the solar which is just a real light tint. They are in Drag Specialties and if you order them from Hale's H-D you get 20% off so they are only about $65 or so, IIRC.

I've got the standard height on my Deluxe, and I'm 5-11. It comes up to my forehead, which is too tall for me. I'd rather look over the shield.

before I switched to the Memphis Shades Fairing or their Sport Shield i used a HD Low Profile Lightly Tinted. It measures 17" from the top of the headlight and worked great for me , top of the windshield was between my chin and tip of nose.

If you have a dealer or indy that sells Memphis shades products they usually have a windshield template that you can hold up to your bike to choose the correct size windshield for your needs. On their website they also have a guide to determining / measureing the windshield. When in doubt get larger , you can always cut it down.

I've got the Nostalgic standard, I'm 5'5" and i'm looking through it. My plan has been to shave it down a few inches, but after 4 days of riding the deserts for the Laughlin ride, I'm thinking I may just leave it tall. I never realized how many bugs there are out there!
