Does anyone know how many choices there are from HD, for windshields for the newer Deluxe model? I see only 1 choice in their catalog for the Deluxe.
There has to be other detachable shields that will work with.
Thanks for any comments
I got the nostalgic one from HD and it works great. It's a little tall, but i'll shave it down eventually. It goes on and off the bike quick and easy too.
Wife has the low tinted nostalgic. The tinting is barely noticable. It's a bit low according to the tip of nose school of thought but she likes it, all that matters.
Memphis Shades and other aftermarkets have different styles that will fit but all the ones I've seen are acrylic. I prefer the Lexan.
Low tinted nostalgic here too. It's a little high for me being a runt, I look through it about 2 inches down from the top when riding. I thought about shaving it down until I noticed after time how much crap hits it on the top couple of inches that would have hit me in the face. I'm used to it now and don't plan to change anything.
The price made me cringe so I waited until I found a 20% off sale at one of the local dealers. I looked at aftermarkets but nothing tripped my trigger.
The Cee Baily company makes replacement shields for the nostalgic hardware. They're real business is airplane plastic parts. Their shield is thicker than the HD shield and cost less. It comes in different sizes and is a quality product.

Same one here, but mine doesn't go on or off easily. It was the tightest fit I've ever seen.
Also, the standard height one seems awfully high. I'm 5-11 and it comes up to my forehead, while the standard Heritage one hits me about nose high.
I'll be cutting mine down, as I hate looking through it, with the distortion towards the sides.

+1 for CeeBailey.... I purchased one of their replacement shields for my Deluxe.. MUCH better than HDs!!! Although I misread the height when I ordered (it's measured from the center of the shield, not overall height)... I was able to send it back and they custom recut it for me for no extra charge.. I just marked the height and sent it back... very happy with their products.

For all the people that say the HD is too regular height tall (or the low to short), what are your heights? I'm looking at getting one for my bike as well.
I'm 5'8" and don't want the low to be too low. Thanks.
