Is there a good repair manual for motorcycle newb? I have an evo unsure of year, but its setup for a softail, as its in a softail frame.
I know I need to do some work on the starter and various electrical controls.
I just picked up the bike yesterday, and I'm trying to sort it out.
If its in a Harley frame you should be able to figure out its year from the VIN number. Then get the manual for that year bike from a dealer or one of the on line parts houses like Zenotti's or Chicago HD.
If its in an aftermarket frame you'll have to try to figure the engines year from its serial number, and go from there. The external electrics are going to be up to you but a manual for the engines year should give you a good hint what to look for.
But if you get stumpted by something use the search function, it will find a lot questions for you. If it doesn't give us a shout and we'll try to help you out.
BTW that's a nice looking bike gonna want to see some more pics of that beast.
