I'd go with the 14"... I always hear guys saying they wish they went higher. I have 14" chubby's 1.25" on 1.5" risers... real comfy and they feels great. The only things that gets numb on a long ride is my a$$... lol The cables are the bulk of the cost. It's some thing you could do yourself. You'll need poly bushing also... is a must for apes... Good luck!
16 inch on mine with 1 inch risers also my bars are the 1 inch type (don't care for the fatter bars) can be done in your own garage in a few hrs .. have to go with how do people ride with drag/beach bars apes the only way to go
Very nice Deluxe Chevere. How tall are you with those bars and about where do they sit height wise? I want the carlini gangster apes but dont know if 16 or 18 is best?

Thanks, I am 6' 5" but it all depends how you like your rides, cause my brother is shorter then me and LOVES the way my bike rides and feels, gangstas are nice bars, remember you can always pull the bars in a bit to compensate.
You really have to "moc" up something to give you an idea on where you want to be.... sit on the bike with the seat you are gonna use everyday (not a stock one if you are planning to change it) this will give you an accurate sitting position.... then get some PVC pipes from home depot (cheap) and try to make some sort of height comparison, this will be the best thing for you to do
