they will sell just the stop...but i heard on here from someone that the dealer will sell you the one you're looking for for 9.00...don't know how much heartlands by itself will be
The HD part number for the smaller bump stop which all softails use except the Rocker is 11514. This will increase swing arm (suspension) travel but on the Rocker you could have issues with the rear fender hitting the trick seat. Everything is a trade off.
Thanks for the part #. I'll go get one tom. So you're saying that the trick seat might hit when it's out? Any clearance probs when solo? I think I'm gonna change the seat anyway.

that's it. it cost $4 at the dealer. when i got mine, they were back ordered. a dealer about 50 miles away had it in stock, got it sent to me the next day

dude, if you are going to change the seat anyway then don't bother with a bump stop and the lowering kit. Look at the picture in my signature, it's the danny gray seat. I haven't lowered my bike at all and there is almost no gap between the seat and the rear fender.
the seat is super duper comfortable, it actually helps you stay on the bike as opposed to having to re-adjust yourself every 5 miles because you are sliding off the back.
Yeah Alain, I did a search last night on the DG seats, and read many of your posts about 'em. (BTW, your bike is the shiznit!) It does seem to close almost all the gap, and it's prob better at stock height for clearance reasons. So the lowered look with full (or nearly) full suspension travel, and a comfy tush to boot. Sweet! I think I am def going to go that route. Hey, the DG seat is a little cheaper if I deduct the cost of the lower kit from the bottom line. Ah, rationalization, such a grand way to lose $. LOL! Thanks again to all for the opinions and info. This site rocks!
yeah, dude. i've rationalized (and wasted money) alot of times in this site lol lol. i'm new to harleys so i've been learning as i go myself. thanks for the compliment by the way. and yeah, dont forget the pics.
I've been meaning to post some pics. Maybe I'll snap a few this weekend after I install some goodies that have been arriving this week. I am new to the HD scene as well, although I have had a Buell Lightning X1 (older tube frame with the Sporty mtr.) for quite a few years now. I'm starting to get used to actually being comfortable while I ride. What a concept! Or maybe I'm just getting old...
