Default I Am Totally Lost

Ok - I have used the search function and read and read....

BUT - all I want to do is make my bike a little louder - call me vain, a wuss, a RUB, or a poser - don't care.

What I can't seem to get a straight story on is (1) will I hurt anything by just adding Rush 2" slip ons to the 09 Deluxe. It already runs lean - will this make it even hotter? (2) Will it run like "crap" like my dealer tech told me?

The dealer said just pipes = possbile damage and poor performance.

To do anything I MUST (?) go full stage one with SERT, pipes, and A/F?

This is my first EFI bike and all I want right now is a little more sound.

Any help from a real wrench or someone with new EFI experience would be really appreciated.

thanks,

If you are not going to change the air filter you should be fine with just slip ons.

Harley Corperate claims a full stage 1 can be done to any 07 or newer efi Harley with no modifications! if your dealer tells you otherwise, they are lieing or just don't know any better.

Here is a link to a write up the AMA did on 07's . Bill Davidson says a full stage 1 with no mods.
