I have an 02 Fatboy which is virtually the same thing. I love my bike. How many miles? What's the price? How was it maintained? There are a few items of importance to check before buying it, but a lot of it depends on the mileage.
I have a 2003 Heritage with a carb (no fuel injected). It has over 60,000 miles on it with only 2 items to ever go wrong. Starter at 35,000 and had the cam chain followers changed at 50,000 (both under warrenty). The bike has been maintained by me with engine oil changed every 5,000 miles with regular oil. No modifications have been made to the drivetrain including exhaust (factory mufflers). Yes, I am very happy with this bike.
I have a 04 heritage, love it , depends on what you are looking for, if you get a hard bagger you can lock them, there are kits i guess to lock heritage leather bags also, qwhat i like is the seat height of 25.5 or so,they look great... If you want good lockable sorage and a beter ride a electraglide is great also...take your time ,try out a few bikes,,,,,,,good luck

It has 32000 on it. A dealer has it for $14,000. It looks to be in very good condition. Very clean.
I have an 06 Heritage and it is hands down the best bike I have ever had. It's versatile, modular, and comfortable. Strip it down for an old school cruiser or dress it up for the long trips. Mine is not a "Classic" though, just a plain old FLST- the bike so great Harley only made it for one year.
I'm looking at possibly getting an 04 classic. Want to know what people think of them that have or have had them.
I have an '04 Heritage Classic. and love it!
It's called a 'Classic' for a reason...."All roads lead to Chrome."
But not just the chrome...it's design is classic Harley Davidson.
There is only one concern; The bags are leather ( to give it that old-school look )
After several years those bags can sag. Not to worry...there is a kit to put in the bags to make them look like new. Just 'google' gotsaggybags.com. or ask your local HD dealer.
I put the kit in my bags and it 'did the trick'.
Here is a before / after look at the bags.. http://www.cwedge.smugmug.com/galler...205_ioxpg-O-LB
With the Heritage...the look is good and the ride is smooooooth!
