Default Hard starting problem

I have an '08 Fatboy (about 11k miles) with a Stage II kit and Vance & Hines exhaust. It has always seemed, to me, that it "turns over" slowly, and in the last few weeks, I've had some worries that it wouldn't start at all (like a weak/bad battery). At an independant shop the electrical system checks out OK. I ride fairly often, and keep it on a battery tender if I don't ride for more than 2-3 days.
Anybdy have a similar issue? Any ideas/fixes?

Isn't your bike still under warranty? I have an 08 rocker and it has sit for 3months without being turned over and started right up. U shouldn't have to keep it on the battery tender. Is it possible there is a problem with the battery tender?

Warrenty expired Feb '09. I have had it on and off of the battery tender for long periods of time - no difference.

I had the same issue with my Buell. Check and clean all ground points. I used dielectric grease after cleaning ground screws and grounding point. It fires right up with no hesitation at all now.

I had the same problem with an 08 Fatboy ...took it into the dealer to have it dynoed and the tech asked me if I had problems starting..he wound up replacing the starter as it wasnt strong enough to turn it over ...before changing the starter he changed the battery when he changed the starter it started just fine and havent had any problem since..
