I'd have to see it to believe it. Oil cooler isn't going to do much good in stop and go traffic unless you have a fan. Least not the type of stop and go that takes our bikes up to 265.

My buddy put a Jagg on his Ultra and I can't wait to take a ride with him on a hot day to see how it works for him. We usually run about the same temps so it'll be a good test.

Its hot, here in Florida too. My oil runs 220 on a warm day and 250 on a hot day. I've seen 265 on occasion. Don't worry about it. Just ride it!

Thanks guys -it is cooking me when sitting in traffic though. I can deal with it but wanted to make sure i'm not toasting the bike(or oil).

Main reason I switched to synthetic (Mobil vtwin 20-50). Handles the heat better.

I have yet to read about a 96ci motor failing due to excessive heat. I had mine up to 260 last summer riding in 112 degrees on the freeway here in AZ (not fun by the way). Then it was bone stock. Now with the stage 1 goodies I have not seen it over about 230. I have always run Amsoil in mine since 1000mi which I believe helps optimize lubrication in these hotter running air cooled motors. I like having the dipstick temp gauge...could seal a little better though. You can also get the cylinder head temps using an IR gun.

The owners and service manual for an 06 states the normal operating temp is 230*. My bike runs around 210-220 in temps under 85-90. Oil temp is usually around 225-230 in temps over 90. Only time it gets over 235 is when its 90 or better and I'm in stop and go traffic.

On a hot day mine usually settles at about 225, got up in the 250 range a couple times last year.
