Need some advice
I had my bike dyno tuned and it ran pretty good. Got some what I wanted to blame my problem on, bad gas. That was before I put the bike away for the winter with stabil in it. Anyway, I ran thru a couple of tanks since then and then got gas at Sunoco. Ping, ping, ping! I put in 2 gallons of 100 octane to try to help the poor quality Sunoco. I always put in 92 or 93, whatever the highest octane they have. I still get the ping! I hear it when rolling the throttle a little while cruising and at times under full throttle and going thru the gears. It's driving me nuts. It didn't do this since my last tank before storage. It ran great all last summer! I have about 14K on the motor since my build up so does anyone think I might have carbon build up? TPS gone bad? Crank sensor? I need some helpfull advice please!

Mine was pinging in similar fashion. I contacted Jamie at Fuel Moto ( awesome dude ! ) and he removed some ignition in that RPM range, problem solved. Not sure if you are running a controller, but you may be able to tweak the map if you are to stop the issue.

How much compression on the build, what is it tuned with and what other symptoms does it have besides the ping? Does it feel funky at real low RPM when you gas it? Like it hesitates for a second?

PC III, 9.5:1, Andrews TW44, 1.938 valve, HD pistons and adjustable push rods, .030" head gasket and stage one KandN air filter kit with the Rineharts. And I get a little hesitation when I turn the throttle fast from idle. Other than the slight hesitation from idle and the ping, it runs good.

I just found out that all gas in now 10 ethenal. This can be my problem. My dad told me how his mpg went down and that Mobil gas is now ethenal just like the rest. I think I might need a re-tune for this garbage gas. And we still pay 100% price for 10% less gas with just more additive? What next? An electric bike?
