It may take a couple of tanks to get rid of all the low octain, but back fire and poping is attributed by a leak in the exhaust or running with a high AFR (lean).

One tank of low octane won't hurt anything. I'm curious to see if your backfiring goes away with high octane fuel. Cheap gas can make it run a little poorly but it shouldn't be a drastic change in performance on a stock motor.

Did you touch anything else on the bike before it started backfiring?

A fuel additive may fix the problem until you can purge your current tankfull.

I can't see what kind of bike do you have I'm on a mobile app, is a carbureted or fuel injected, and do you have a fuel manager?

You are endangering your life by riding it...leave it by the curb and I'll swing by and pick it up and dispose of it for you

Put a shot of Jack Daniels in the gas tank, then take one yourself.....guarantee you will notice a difference.
