i have a 2000 deuce, i bought hd relocate turn signal kit and installed on forks, the right turn signal stays on and when turn signal is activated works fine...but left turn signal does not stay on, but when activated it blinks works, but just wont stay on when deactivated...i've replaced the bulb still not working right, i've got a manual does not talk about the problems i'm having...thanks...
Did you take the connector apart? Id look to make sure the wires are in the connector all the way or you dont have them mixed up.
I agree with eohtech, it does sound a little like one of the wires has been reversed or not installed properly.
The connector should look like this when the wires are installed properly in the connector.
Sorry, but your going to have to at least lift the front of the gas tank to get at the connector to check it out.
So make damn sure you disconnect the fuel line at the tank fitting before you try it or your going to break it.
They have little or no wiggle room, is very easy to break and the stupid thing costs just under $50.
yours seems like a wiring issue, but on my 08 N-Train i kept blowing turning signal bulbs, i switched from the plain clear ones to the orange bulb and have had many miles on them since with no issues...sounds dumb i know but it has worked haha
Check your ground. I had left side T/S problems last week, the right was OK but the left would either stay on and make the security light on the speedo stay on or it would blink very fast and not turn off unless I shut off at the ign switch. Problem was a small accessory wire ground to the frame.
