I brought my Cross bones and recall notice to the Harley dealer in Frejus, France only to be told that as I had bought my bike in the UK I would have to get the part from the UK. They could then fit it.
They also refused to fit the Speedway rev counter I bought on the net, from this site I believe. "We only fit parts supplied by us".
I have my bike booked in for a service on sat but as Frejus is 45 minutes away I'm having second thoughts. I'd get the Harley specialist in Le Cannet to do it except it would invalidate the warranty.
To be fair the Frejus guy checked the bolt and put some Araldite or something on it
Someone I know got it done and I will let him tell the story if he wants to but dont take it to East Coast HD dealer if anyone knows where Im talking about. He had a scratched fender, stripped fender mounting bracket, cut wires on his tuner and alot of grief for an acorn nut.
