Nope, HD is calling it a 'Safety Recall' if I remember correctly from the letter. I checked the acorn this morning and hopped on and came in to work. I will schedule with the dealer and bring it in when it's convenient. I am not too awfully worried about it.

it must be internal because it is not on the federal list. they are required to tell the feds of any safety issue. is it listed as a safety issue?

Talked to my Dealer this morning, they had two in stock, said it takes 20 minutes and to bring it in and they will take care of it. They are right by my office and it's free so I will let them do it.

Thanks for the pic. Checked al the acorns and they seem tight. Took off the fender (which I damaged last Oct) and it looks good without.
Will post a pic when I cool down. It's well over 30c here today.
BTW my HD dealer in Frejus didn't know anything about this when I booked my Cross Bones in for it's annual service. Not helped by my lack of French and his lack of English.

I live in the UK just had the recall letter, so phoned my local dealer to book it in and was told it would take 3 weeks before they could do it as the nuts are only ordered when required, and they come over by ship,

So, you're expecting a shipload of nuts from America? There's a switch!
