They guy I talked to at Harley said it's some bolt you can visually see to see if it's loose....Coming from a guy who struggles changing a light bulb, I have no clue!
Connects the Fender to the Break Caliper. You can check if its loose. Basically their worried it will rattle loose. I'm not stopping riding but I am getting an appointment to get it fixed... unless they'' just give me the pieces and I'll bolt it on myself.
Yeah I'll keep riding. I have like 890 miles on the bike right now and I have a weeking in two weekends out of town. Perfect time to drop it at the shop have them do the 1000 mile, re-dyno, etc.. and fix the break issue. I'll check to see if its loose.

Yeah, here in Minnesota you flat out gotta ride when it's nice out....One day it'll be 85, then the next raining and 40.....
Got my letter today. I checked the torque on mine. Came in at 600 inlbs which is standard for a 9/16 in. course thread nut. Maybe putting some LocTite (red), or a lock washer would do the trick. If the MoCo has a better fix, fine. If someone has talked to a service dept, let us know. Just something we need to keep an eye on.
Got mine today as well. For those wanting or needing to know, here are the details as to which bikes are effected by this recall. 2008 and 2009 FLSTSB (Crossbones), 2008 FXSTSSE2 (Screaming Eagle Softail Springer), 2009 FXSTSSE3 (Screaming Eagle Softail Springer) manufactured May 22, 2007 through March 26, 2009, and shipped on or before March 27, 2009.
The pic Budmiester has posted accurately shows the potentially defective bolt.
