Default Another lowering kit thread

I know there are already threads on this but I have a different question. Want to put an adjustable rear lowering kit on my FLST. My problem is I don't want to mess with the front. For you guys that have lowered just the rear are you happy with it and got any pics???

Thanks guys

I dropped my '08 'Train 2" in the rear and have NOT touched the front yet. As I've stated in the multitude of other "lowering" threads, I have not detected ANY difference (positive or negative) in handling/cornering, etc.

I used the HD Profile adjustable shocks (thanks Clint!!!) and have found them to be a wonderful addition. I had to have the pre-load adjusted as when the dealer installed them, it was MUCH too soft and I was bottoming out constantly. A couple turns of a wrench and the problem was solved. The ride's a little rougher than stock, but the rear is slammed and I have NO bottoming-out issues anymore.

LOVE IT.

Were you able to keep the stock kick stand since you only lowered the rear?

Same here. It leans a little differently, but the stand's the same.

I have experimented with different lowering items on my bike as well. At first I had just the lowering kit, then I went to the air ride. The front was still at stock height. No problems with the kickstand. Eventually I lowered the front as well, although I did not deem it necessary. The main issue is that you rear is now lower than your front, as you are aware. Lowering the front would even it out, but it is not necessary. If you like how it rides, leave it be.

Your ride will handle alot better lowered front and rear. Not to mention if the bike is lowered evenly you will not slide back on your seat everytime you stop and go, which i had this issue. got very annoying. Your ride will look alot better lowered up front also..
