Default Changed oil Today

Changed the fluids in all three today in my 06 heritage. Went with Amsoil in all three holes. Used 20w-50 in the engine and 10-40 in the primary and 75-90 gear in the tranny. The tranny amd primary are SOO much quitier. They are smoother too. That old tranny fluid looked thin and dark. Not much debri on any plugs... that good! Did it myself and saved a bunch of $$$.

Plus it's kinda gratifying to think that you're doing it yourself instead of letting someone else do it. Then you know it's done right....hopefully

I am yet to try Amsoil but have read lot of good stuff about it. I use something even thicker in my transmission (Redline shockproof) and will never swap from that. Congrats on learning how to service your own vehicle, it is a very gratifying experience, and with all the money you save you can mod your bike some more. WooHoo!

I made the switch to Amsoil at my last change. Bike runs cooler, clutch is smoother, and the transmission shifts better. I went with ATF in the primary, and I'll never look back.

Congrats on doing it yourself.

For Harley Goodies, Im using the Redline Shock Proof (85-140 ?) int he trans and like it , much quieter and smooth shifts compared to the Syn 3 I used to use, are you using the Redline V Twin Primary as well ? I was thinking about trying it...
