My bike came with the screaming eagle pro tuner...however I never received the black box, cd, or cable from the dealer, and realizing that I should have, I'm pretty lit over it.
Is it possible the black box is already on the bike? I would like to make sure before I call up that it's not already on there somewhere...if it is, where would it be on the bike? (haven't seen it).
I do have a cable coming out from underneath my air intake and assumed this cable plugs into that black box but I could be wrong....
Not sure what you mean by TTS. I'm waiting until the dealer opens (Wildwood NJ) to call them. They didn't even give me my fuc_kin manual (and I had to basically hound them for that -still haven't got it). So I'm just trying to find out everything I need to before calling.
Bull$h-- that you pay good money for something and this happens. They should have given me these things right out the door, and guess they just assumed I wouldn't have found out.
So I need the dongle that connects to that wire sticking out of the air intake, which goes into that black box, and from that I connect via usb..correct?
If they didn't hand it to you when you got the bike the tuner cable and box should be plugged into the "D9" connector on the side of the ECM and is probably coiled up under the seat. It should have a "D9" or "USB" personal computer/laptop type plug on the end.
The small plug that's mounted under the intake I was told was for some kind of diagnostic hook up, but exactly what it does I don't know.
The dongle is what you connect between your laptop and your bike. A TTS is another fuel management device similar to a SERT. Without the dongle, you cannot change the programming of your SERT (as far as I know).

Ok, that clarifies the cable under the air intake -thank you. I'm gonna check again in a little bit to see if the box is under the seat. It's possible I could have missed it.
When tuners get installed are they typically left on the bike under the seat? This is an '08 night train btw.
Depends on the dealer, but its not an uncommon practice. If they do leave it in there its also common for them to leave the end sticking out a little around the oil tank area so they don't have to pull the seat to get at it.
PS yes you might have missed it, its not very big (under 2" cube) and in that mess of wires it would be easy to overlook.

Ok well looked under the seat and no race tuner. So I called up and spoke to the Service Dept. Manager over there...nice guy. He said that he already shipped the tuner and other parts they took off (stock pegs, etc) along with the manual via UPS.
I had the feeling he was just trying to get me off the phone, but he seems like a cool enough guy so gotta give him the benefit of the doubt (and Im sure the guy's busy)...
So I should have my box tomorrow or latest Monday (they are only 2 hours away -same state).
I just hope they included everything that they should have, that came with the kit. I really don't want to have to do this all over just to get the CD or the dongle, etc.
