I put V&H Short Shots on my '09 NT last week. Is there a relearn that I need to do with unplugging the battery for awhile? The bike is running fine but a friend said he thought I might need to do that.

Thanks!
Nope you'll be fine unless you decide to get an intake; then you'll need some sort of tuner (i.e. PCIII).
I just ordered the black Shortshots for my Night Train. Picking them up in the morning. Hopefully have them on sometime tomorrow.
Some people are a bit turned off by the V&H because "everyone has them."
I tend to think "everyone has them" because they look bad ****. One of the better looking black pipes out there I think. The chrome tip and badge really set them off. Not sure if you got chrome or black... they both look good though.
I got chrome used from a member on here because the price was right. I would some day like to have the black big radius V&H pipes.
Check out their web site.
I think you can get the black heat shields without having to get the whole setup.
You could also paint the heat shields you have with oven or VHT header paint.
That would work for half of it! It would give me the black look to keep me content for longer, but I still prefer the look of the radius over the short shot.
After I had cams installed it too around 700-800 mile before the emc settled down before I got my milage back after the dyno tune that was done right after the cams.
now getting 6-7 mpg better than at first. Partly my fault also,, right hand keep jerking.
