EZ Brackets on my FXSTDI
I’m about ready to pull the trigger on the EZ or Ghost brackets for my Softail Deuce. They say the bolts mount where the existing bolts are in the chrome strip on the sides of the rear fender. Via photos I see where other Softails have these bolts but the Deuce doesn’t. Could someone who has a Deuce or who knows tell me if they ordered another type of mount or if they put holes in the chrome trim. That just makes my a$$ pucker just thinking about it.
Although i can't give you any info on istalling them on a deuce. I do use the EZ brackets on my 07 FXST and have had them for about 2 years, they work purfectly. The mounts are a nice chrome and blend in real nice, and when i don't have my bags on they work great as a anchor for a helmet hog for an extra helmet. From the research i've done when looking into buying them, the EZ-Brackets where stronger than the Ghost brackets. Hope this helps! Good luck.
