I bought the tinted window from HD, put it on my Rocker C, and took it off 4ever. It was not the look I wanted nor did it help with deflecting the elements

Does anyone know where I can get mounting hardware for a windshield? I bought a Rifle Windshield and it doesn't come with hardware and the HD shop want over $400 for all the hardware for the quick detach kit.

Agreed on the HD windscreen. It helps a little with fatigue on longer trips by cutting wind off of your body and directing it all to your head.

When I got my '08 Rocker a couple of years ago I wanted a windshield. Got the H-D one and was very disappointed at the low height. Went on the web and after Clearview wouldn't do what I wanted (theirs were too short) I finally got to CeeBaileys.com. They worked with me and I got a custom sized shield that did what I wanted--no wind in the face with no helmet face shield. The only problem was with wind coming up from below. Solved that problem with some blue lowers from Memphis Shades. Had to work to get them on my larger forks, but did it. Then went out and did a flow test. It all worked good up until about 105-108 MPH. Then the wind started swirling around the SIDE of the windshield and into my face, so I flipped the face shield down. My reason for a windshield on my Rocker is comfort and not feeling like I got beat up after a ride. I use my Rocker as a tourer and it's more comfy than my Electroglide after 300 miles. Check out my 'shield at http://www.ceebaileys.com/harley/har...r_2008_ws.html
Those are my photos of my bike on the website. They say that the shield is 23", but it's a 21" one from an earlier test fit. I'm 5' 10" and I look over the shield 1" for normal riding and can tuck below it from time to time as necessary. I finally settled on a 24" tall light gray shield with a recurve on top. It works great. No helmet face shield and no wind in my face (until 105 mph).
Can't post more photos 'cause the bike is in the shop after a crash. It'll be well soon (me, too, I hope, after 3 broken ribs, collar bone and shoulder blade heal!) and then I can show pics of the 106" S & S motor upsize with blue powdercoated jugs and heads. Bags are almost finished, too. It's my Rocker bagger and is built for comfort AND speed.
PS. It looks like Clearview finally got the message and now have decent choices for Rockers. I got a Clearview 'shield for my Honda Fury and look through it and all is just fine (why do you think they call them clearview??)
PPS. Wearing a helmet is a good idea when you crash. Broke my helmet, saved my head.

Old thread, but I went with the Clear View.......they have multiple heights to choose from and are wider than stock with a slight curve at the top. I'm 6'1" and no buffeting at hwy speeds.

I bought a replacement shield for $80 without mounting hardware from Memphis Shades and adapted it to the quick release brackets.

I love the way that windshield looks on your rocker. Would you happen to know a part number or dimensions? I want to make sure I order the right one!! Thanks in advance!

Did you ever find a windshield to work on your rocker? I've been searching online. I can't seem to find one with quick-release clamps....I like the Rio Grande shields from Memphis Shades but I'm unsure about the trigger lock hardware you're supposed to mount it with. I would much rather have quick-release. I'm kinda new to this so any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
