I bought a detachable windshield from HD when I first got my Rocker. I only use it on long trips like the one I am about to leave on (3400 Miles). The one from HD is terrible. It curves back so the wind is hitting you right in the face. At 30 it made the wind seem like 60 and at 60 it was unbearable. I bought a replacement shield for $80 without mounting hardware from Memphis Shades and adapted it to the quick release brackets.
I agree with Rocker C on the windshield. HD sells two sizes and they come in smoked or clear. I have the smoked one which is the shorter of the two....I cant tell a difference with it on or off though.

I bought the shorter HD model off of eBay. I have used it only twice for long weekend trips. For what it is and how small it is, it helps a little, but not anything like the touring bikes everyone else was riding.

Hi. I bought the 20" shaded one and am happy about it. It makes a difference to me but I am new to biking. I keep it on almost 24/7 cause it looks okay on the bike and keeps bugs and sand off my face...... there may be some better alternatives (cost and effectiveness).. but that's all I can have my hands on...Cheers!
