Default Fatboy SE slip-ons

I bought the bike used with the pipes on it but man they are too quiet. Winter project for sure is to replace the exhaust. Anyone else think they are to quiet and changed them just for this reason?

yep! also changed the "shot-gun" type exhaust - that was the only thing about Fat Boys I didn't like. reminded me of the Honda 350s from the mid 60's.

I have the same issue with mine ('02 SEII slip-ons, before the HD & EPA decided to screw us). I posted the same thing about a month ago & the popular answer was Rush. Recent posts have mentioned VH & Sampson BGs or Streetsweepers. I ran straight drag pipes in my old Sporty and had no problem hearing them, but 'll damned if I can't hear my Fattie above 45mph. Let me know what you decide since I'm in the same boat.

I have been looking at the V&H Longshots. Fair price, good sound and not so loud as too bother my neighbors when I leave at 7:00am
