+1 on Mike Ride.

A buddy of mine tried this with his Dyna and it was a miserable failure. Started rusting, etc. He didnt know what he was doing but when the bare metal look is done right, it's very cool.

I think the key is the clear sealer before the clear top coat. I've seen bare metal sprayed with just clear and it starts to turn brown. I expressed my concern to the painter, and he assures me that it will not discolor.

Time will tell. I know he stands behind his work.
