96B vs 96???

Pretty much agree with this. I have ridden both the X Bones Softail, and the Street Bob Dyna extensively. The only real difference in vibration is at idle, the unbalanced motor really smooths out at speed. The B motor is pretty smooth at all speeds. The B motor loses a few horsies and ft lbs of torque.

This would be no big deal except the Bob is 80 lbs lighter! THAT makes the big difference in handling, acceleration etc. I own the Bones, and the Dyna is my son's. The Dyna is one helluva bike. I'm getting a 103 upgrade to the Bones just to keep up. But the weight and suspension etc of the Bones won't ever let me keep up in the handling dept.

Without riding any I think I have basically narrowed it down to an FXSTB or a FXDWG. I am going to try and setup a test ride on Wednesday at one of the local dealers who, according to their website, has a 2006 FXDWG and a few 2009 FXSTBs. If I like both then it will just depend on what I can get the best deal on, looking at 2007's for both, if I like one over the other then problem solved.

I hope I prefer the Dyna, looking at what it will cost to customize the Nightrain the way I want it will make it a much more expensive bike vs the Dyna.
