Heres the last few weeks worth of FXST's that were put on E-Bay.http://motors.completed.shop.ebay.co...C&_osacat=6024

Man its a buyers market Bro. Bikes aint bringing much money. The economy is crap. The days of buying a 17K Harley riding it for a few years and getting 15 grand back are over. These bikes are reselling like Metrics...Cheap!!

E-Bay is your friend. Craigslist is your friend. Thats where guys with now money are looking if they at the dealership on some freebie test ride!!

Your bike if pristine should do $11,500 in this crappy economy. Now you need the guy with all that cash in fist to waltz along and let you have it!!

Probably not what you wanna hear but its the truth.....Ouch.

Greetings,

Unfortunately, he's right. A local dealer has a red 07 FXST with 5100 miles with the stage 1 kit, SERT and Vance and Hines ShortShot pipes for $10,995. Good luck! Post it here and on Craigslist. That'd be cheaper than eBay.

I was going to throw out $12K, then I read Chaz's post. I'm with him. Somewhere around there.

I wouldnt even think of selling until the economy picks up.

I'm an E-Bay addict and watch the completed listings every few days. The bike that are selling are literally being given away.

My local craigslist has the same bikes over and over and over...Priced like they think you still gotta wait 6 months on a list at the dealer to buy a harley.

I saw a stock 2006 street bob on Craigslist yesterday in Denver priced at 20 grand. I felt bad for whoever posted that madness thinking they must owe 19 grand or something insane.....Or had been told he/she could buy a new Harley ride it for 4 years and sell it for 5 grand over MSRP on a new one???

The economy is rough. More folks wanting to sell bikes than buy em.

Good time to either buy a bike or hold on to the one ya' got!!

Yep, absolutely. If nothing else, you could always have some one take over payments for you if you cannot afford them. That's one way to get out from under it. That is if you have any substantial equity in it.

Here are some interesting E-Bay listings....

This fella with a pretty cool fatty thinks a set of Apes and a spoked front wheel along with some Kuryaken chrome has made his bike worth 30 Grand....Ouch!:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

I thought to myself how has he possibly spent more 3 grand more on his mods than I have total invested in my bike including a hot stage 3 motor build and 2 wheels that match? How could that be!!

I'm convinced that the Street Glides are the most valuable of the late model used bikes. Bad economy or not the Glides still bring the money and always seem to sell.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

I'm a Spaz, I demoed a new 09' Street Glide and hated it. Felt like a riding mower to me. Seating position was straight outta the front row at home depot and in stock form made about as much grunt. I need to fall in love with one some day tho. They look so danged cool!

Somebody literally stole this 08' E-Glide for 12 grand...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FLHT-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

Old guys with Moolah will still fork out the dough on these clean Heritages. This one did exceptionaly well:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

This gay **** Star Harley is actually pretty cool. Didnt get a single bid at $6500:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Old-S...%3A13%7C39%3A1

This Road King was a good buy at 14.7K if youre a road King guy...600 miles? This was 20 grand plus last year at the dealership:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FLHRC...%3A13%7C39%3A1

This Vee-Rawd guy will dread the day he passed on 15 grand for this bike. His momma should smack his face. Its a Vee-Rawd. The bid was from a serious buyer with 400 feedback... and it wasnt a done deal? Mistake. He will never see 15 grand again on this bike. Not ever:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

Chopped out Dyna's may not be yer' thang but a 2002' for 4 grand? That would make one my thing pretty easily! I see 02' sporters priced higher than this all over the place!http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...%3A13%7C39%3A1

High end custum build in this economy? Pfft Good luck. I would rather have a new 20K sucker punch sally and 40 grand in my pocket for beer and ******!!http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WEST-...5%3A3%7C39%3A1

This is my all time classic....My gawd this is so insane that words cant even describe it. This guy probably lives in his shop and still thinks building custom bikes makes him a rock star. Nice guy I'm sure but He hasnt watched the news in years and is blissfully unwaware about the economy or whats happening in the market.

Seems like he took a $500 bike, smoked a few ounces of Meth stripped down the bike and tweaked on a set of bicycle bars for months before emrging from his shop with this creation? for 12 grand!!!:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...5%3A3%7C39%3A1

Crazy Jack has a feedback score of "Zero". He hasnt ever bought or sold a single item on Flea-Bay....Until this attempt. I think drunk *** Billy Lane would be...Proud.

Thanks for the info guys. I kinda figured that was going to be the case. I guess I will just keep making the payments and see what happens. My rate is around 5% so its not to bad. Maybe one day someone will take the bike off my hands.
