Certainly. I changed mine for this very reason.

It's only a small difference, but the lack of squishy padding means that when you wind it up it's only the springs that compress & not the springs AND the foam.

Thanks Rev, this will be the seat I will go for, I like the look of the standard seat but there's know support with it, it's not too bad when you have a bag on the rack to lean against

Thanks Rev, this will be the seat I will go for, I like the look of the standard seat but there's know support with it, it's not too bad when you have a bag on the rack to lean against
