Default Le Pera seat questions

I've been eyeing up the bare bones solo and the Silhouette solo seats. Is there a big difference between the two and what's your opion on the seats? I'm kinda worried about the seat pushing me forward then I'll need to pickup a forward exstension kit.
Thanks fellas

On my fatboy the bare bones seat sits me back a bit more and lower then the stock seat.

I have a Bare Bones on my Slim. It didn't change my seating position compared to the stock seat. It's just a bit wider and has more support coming up the rear than the stock seat. I put over 500 miles on it a few weekends ago, and I never had an issue with a sore butt, which I thought I might. I have no complaints at all with the seat.

I had a Bare Bones and currently have a Silhouette on Softails. On Softails, both seats sit you back and down from stock. In my opinion, the Bare Bones is only good for "bar hopping" or trips under 100 or so miles (think carpet on plywood). The Silhouette is a step up and more comfortable. However, the Bare Bones does look really cool. SJ Ron

I'm going to disagree with this. My last bike was an Ultra Limited. The stock seat felt great, and it felt even better when I had it redone with memory foam from Mean City Cycles. Before I even purchased the Bare Bones, I contacted Mean City Cycles to see if they could work their magic on it, because I love a comfortable seat. Now, I won't say the Bare Bones is as comfortable as the seat I had on my Ultra Limited, but I never had an issue with soreness after over 500 miles in a weekend. I really thought that I would, because the seat is certainly firm, but it never bothered me a bit.

My point is that the seat is not limited to just bar hopping. The seat is fine for a longer ride. This is definitely dependent on other things, such as leg positioning on pegs or floorboards, how far you have to reach for the bars, how much you weigh, how big your *** is, how much fat is on your *** no matter the width, suspension, and I'm sure there are plenty of other things I'm leaving out.

I have the Bare Bones on my Deluxe and I think it is more comfortable than the stock seat.

There are always a few who disagree on the comfort of the Bare Bones. I have had a dozen seats over the years and the Bare Bones was the least comfortable. SJ Ron

Thank you guys for the input. I want a solo seat but I'm currently running the stock king and queen seat. Comfortable but not the look I'm going for. The Feicenc'e has absolutely no tensions to ride at all so Ive been throwing around a few ideas weighing the cost and total outcome.
Oh I never knew a wedding could cost so much.

My Bare Bones looks great, but I need to take a break every 100-150 miles if I'm riding in a straight line and not moving around much. It's pretty rough.
