Default Battery cables...

I'm changing the battery cables to 2 GA.
Are there 4 to change?
Battery neg to frame AND frame to engine case
Battery pos to starter relay AND other side of relay to starter?
Hard as hell to see without taking the thing apart but isn't it smart to change them all to the larger cables? I mean it's only common sense for the full effect or am I wrong?

If you're going to bother changing any of the cables, you should change them all. If you don't mind me asking, why are you changing cables at all? In this context, larger cables serve only two functions: increased current handling capability and lower voltage drop.

The starter motor is by far your biggest current draw, and the stock cables (whatever gauge they may be) are more than adequate to spin the starter without heating up excessively, particularly for the short amount of time that the starter needs to spin. As for voltage drop, a larger cable will present less resistance (and therefore more voltage) at the starter motor under high current draw, but the real question is do you really need the higher voltage? You can easily calculate how much more voltage you'll get from a larger gauge cable than from the stock cable, and then you can decide if it's worth the trouble to change out the cables. Cable runs on a bike are relatively short, so my guess is that you're not going to gain very much.

True. As short as the cables are your gains will be negligible.
