i did my hooker headers and they said if you dont have a tq wrench then use a 1/4 wrench and palm tight.
also be sure the port is cleaned of any carbon and check the new gasket for any high spot of the graphite lube that is used

When I replaced my pipes you couldn't even tell that there were gaskets in there.

When I did mine the gaskets were so smoothly pressed and molded into the port
that they looked like they weren't there and that was just the way the port was shaped.
thanks all for your input and advise. I reinstalled the screaming eagle gaskets instead of the stockers, also bought some chrome aftermarket exhaust clamps to replace the stock HD clamps. install was a breeze. now iam hoping all will be well at the moment of truth however will have to wait until my tins come back from paint shop...

I agree, I just installed big radius on my deuce and thought at first there were no gaskets, then i figured out i had to kinda pry them out so i could put the new ones in....first time working on a bike by the way...luckily i didnt try to put the new ones over the old ones, it just didnt seem right...
