I'd be removing the plate bracket part of it and if you've seen the pics of the tri LED without the license bracket..it's fugly.

...and it's a bit modern for the nostalgic look of the X-bones.

I thought the same thing after I got the axle side mount plate for my NT. I ended up hacking it up with Dremel, just took some time and minor sanding, looks decent, but not as clean and rounded as one produced would be.

All it would take is the existing light mount, minus the molding for the bracket, clean and rounded.

One pic attached is not mine, but a very clean looking one. I dont have access to my pics right now. But the user (cant remember name) used a dremel. I didnt go as far up like he did, just straight to the bottom lip of where the light is.

Second pic is with TRI Bar slimmed down. Not mine either but still clean looking.

Yep...that is what I'm looking for.

Looks like it's going to be a do-it-yourself job.

I still can't believe someone hasn't manufactured a piece just like this.

If you gonna do it this way, you are going to want to take the fender off. Will make the job a lot easier. I left the fender in tack for now, I pretty much did it the way I did, so I did not hit the fender with the dremel tool and came out decent enough until I can get the fender off to touch it up. With some patience, you can get it pretty clean. I would recommend one of the stronger dremel blades, one for metal, not just the standard one. Give it cooling down time also. Basically dremel for about 30-45 seconds and then let dremel cool down for the same period. My buddy burned his handheld dremel out working on mine. After some people have sanded it done, and touched it up with black paint to clean it up.

Use glasses and gloves, cover the fender with some painters tape (or anything you can find). If doing it while the fender still on, cover your tire with a shirt or rag, because shards of hot melting plastic will be flying off!!
