Hi
Anyone had back order problems since HD did their computer upgrade?
Been waiting nearly 1 month for a new pair of rear shocks for my Rocker
Warranty repair, shocks NFG!!
Warranty repair = no money for dealer = not a priority...They are probably sitting in the parts room of the delaership waiting for you to raise cain...
They are out of line, one is so far back that the adjustment spanner will not fit between shock and frame crossmember. Mechanic at dealership thinks one of the shocks has collapsed inside so I'm only running on 1 good shock. Back end of bike a bit soggy. Ridiculous delay, you can get to the moon and back in a month, I just want a nice tight **** "on my bike"!

Apparently not, last time I enquired they were in Belgium, that was last week, I live in the UK and they should be here by now, girls in charge of parts are saying that it's chaos since Harley did computer upgrade, 30% of it still not working, parts ordered after mine have been delivered, parts going missing, etc, etc. Excuses, Excuses, I know it's probably not the girl's fault but I am getting a bit pissed now. Someone somewhere has got a pair of shocks for a Rocker!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya thats what I'm thinking. If my parts get 'pushed back' over a week or two the dealer will call around and do a store transfer instead of waiting to hear its pushed back again.
Don't know if it has anything to do with new computers, but I've been waiting on a tall detachable windshield with the black frame for over 4 months!
I finally had to cancel the order & order it from a different dealer, after Harley said it was going to be back ordered for the fifth time until July 31st...not going to work when we are headed to Sturgis on August 1st.
Cost me an extra $100...sux!!!
I wasn't aware of any computer upgrades. However, I searched the entire country to find a set of passenger floorboard brackets for my '09 Fat Boy. They were back ordered everywhere. I waited 2 months, and they just kept getting pushed back. Finally found 1 set at a dealer in Portland.
