if you lower the fender you have to have a custom seat.......the stocker wouldent fit sounds like a spendy mod

i haven't messed with the spanner yet. any ideas on where i should start the setting at? i'm 6' 170 lbs. also is clockwise or counter clockwise softening up the ride, and how many adjustment are there?

 

I do believe counter clockwise is to soften up the ride. I read somewhere that stock pre-preload on stock shocks are set to a person about 170lbs. If i were you i would adjust your bolts to as long as they will go and lower it more. Then use a spanner and stiffen in up a tad so you get no bottom outs. I would try to get that back fender to about an inch or so above the back wheel. But its your ride not mine.

My bike hasnt been lowered at all in the rear, leaving the swingarm in parallel with the frame when I sit on it. The fender was reformed,cut and reshaped to hug and form to the rim and tire while still giving full suspension travel. I can be done with stock fenders as well and looks alot better. DOesnt really cost a dime, but it does take some time and effort. But the end result is well worth it.

that's the website i used and they rated removing the shocks as a 6 out of a 10, i would say more like a 3 of 10. and it said putting the new bolts in a 7 out of a 10. i would say 4 to 5 of 10. it was all really easy. i won't what a 1 of a 10 is......maybe turning on a turn signal??

i'm going to lower the bike alittle more and see how it looks and get a battery after work and take it for a ride and see how it feels. still debating weather i'm going to lower the fron or buy a solo seat.

 

I have to admit, yer scoot looks good Gunmetal.....yer rims are that shiny it looks just like you have that dual belt in the rear and no spokes........what's all the wiring at yer license-plate doin there?
