Well, I figured last weekend, so I decided to stop figuring. lol.
What do you guys think about this, we were going to put on a black old school air intake, but today he asked me if I would rather take the RSD intake I have and make all the chrome parts on it gold, like he did with the RSD covers.
I said I think that would be too much gold, but he said the exhaust will cover most of the timer cover, so it will be much more subtle than it looks now. I told him I would think about it, but I am still leaning towards old school black air intake. What do you think?
I say go big. The rsd intake is contrast cut so a little bit of gold on thier won't be what throws you off kilter and with out it the rocker cover and timing cover look like lonely gold bolt ones. Some subtle gold in other areas will help pull the gold theme into the bike, instead of making sit on the bike.
**Not the Grill right, just the cover...

Your bike is going to be Awesome!!
Thank you.
He electroplated them, so it actually looks like the metal, itself, is that color, because technically now the metal IS that color on an atomic level. I dont know if you could get the same finish with powder coating, although after seeing some of the great powder coating jobs on this board, I'm not so sure anymore.

Actually, somebody else already called dibs on that ac if I get rid of it, but if that falls through, it's yours.

BTW, he is copper plating my oil tank lines(?) (the metal tubes coming from the oil tank). I'm sure you could have those plated to look like brass. I saw it on another bike, and it looks amazing.
