I hear ya, my bikes been in the shop since March and every week it is almost done. Now they tell me next week. I told them don't worry about it I would rather pick it up with snow on the ground. Good Luck!
Did your shop do the pin stripe(yes, I see is it stiching) on the seat or him? Please tell me how to get one done the same way yours was done.
It is embroidered in the leather. Just call the shop and tell them you want the crossbones seat with the embroidered pin striping. If he has one in stock, he'll send it to you and if not, he will have one made for you. He doesn't show it on the site because he hasn't updated in a little while.
BTW, that isn't my seat. It was sitting on the shelf and I thought it looked pretty cool, so I took a few pictures of it. Mine is the red/black leather one with the star on it.
I wanted to see how the customization was going. I was a little disappionted to see that it hasn't gotten that far yet. The guy there says everything is almost ready to be put on the bike, and once it is, it will only take a few days to put it all together. Right now, this is what is on the bike...keep in mind, A LOT of stuff has yet to be changed. There will be a lot more copper, brass, pin striping, and new air intake and rear fender.
That's going to be one very sweet XBone, NYC Choppers have great taste in bikes, I love the RSD covers what type exhaust you going for

I looked at that seat also. But I like the pin striped one better for my project. I will have to post pics once all the parts are finished up. If I had the money a shop would be doing mine to but if I can build custom race civics, and Jap race bikes I think this should be easy for me. I just need to find a brass plater now to use. Your brass look killer!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wicked, even with the minimal changes thus far. That thing is going to be so sweet when it is done. I have learned that patience is a virtue in a situation like this.
Check out this Hydra Glide I saw the other day at my Dyno place.
It seems like your is going to come out looking far nicer than that. fI was in awe at this bike. LEt the guy get it done in his time as it will msot likely be much nicer as opposed to if you rush him. I understand there is a riding season there in New York, but an artist needs time to do things his way. Just my .02
