A few weeks back i purchased a windshield of a member on here when I put it on it took a while to get used to but know I don't want to ride without it.My rides have been so much more enjoyable know am I the only one who feels this way?But I hate the way the bike looks with it in oh well.
Some do, some don't.
I had a windshield when I bought my Fatboy, tried it for a couple of times, didn't like it. I love the wind and a clear view in front of me. I think Deluxe looks ok with a windshield. I sold mine a week later.
Im thinking about getting one after catching multiple rocks to the face yesterday on my ride to Aberdeen. This is the rockiest place I've ever ridden...
personal choice, I have one on my FXSTC and if I could ride just around town I wouldn't have it on there...but I'm 30 miles from the nearest town and the ride is always windy and buggy...I also live in an area that has a lot of sand and gravel on the road at times...I was catching a lot of rock in my face a chest...so even though I hate the way it looks on my bike, I don't ride without it. I've gotten used to the top of the windshield in the middle of my scan and with the 1/2 helmet I still feel plenty of wind. (I have the sport style windshield), so I say oh well also...I enjoy the ride a lot more with it than without it...
not thrilled over the look but will not ride with out it now.
when I was young -now 68- a wind shield was never a thought but now I enjoy the ride more with it..
I have a detachable windshield myself. For long highway rides and roadtrips its great and reduces wind fatigue considerably. Around town or short rides I keep it off.
