Default Grounding wire location?

Can some one know where the proper mounting location for the wire that goes from the neg side of the battery to the frame. What is the wire attached to on the frame side? I have a 2002 Fatboy that has a solo seat so it's a custom set up.

Doesn't matter where you attach the ground (neg) side of the battery to the frame just so long as it is a clean connection (no paint) and a solid connection to the frame of the bike. All the lights or any electrical equipment uses the frame for the return path back to the battery.

Just clean the paint off the frame where you want to connect and bolt it down solid with a bolt, lock washer and nut. The lockwasher is there to keep it from shaking loose.

Hope this answers your question.

Negative terminal is attached to the frame under the front part of the seat. Their should be two holes for grounding. One is battery grnd and the other is for bike wiring grnd.

It is always a good idea to clean the ground and battery terminals once in a while.

If you pull the seat, bottom of the tank in the hole there you'll see both ground strap mounting points. If you have a ground issue it's seldom in there unless you've taken off the ground from there for some reason. It's virtually impossible for those to rattle loose.
