Default Ground wire question.

I know very little about adding an amp to my bike.my question is,does the ground wire for the amp have to be attached to the battery or can I ground it to the frame? The reason I'm asking this is because the ground wire in most kits are only 3 ft in lenght.any help is appreciated.

Any good ground to the frame will suffice.
I got mine grounded to a bolt on the right side near the gooseneck........WORKS FINE!
I got too many things attached to the battery now........gotta use a longer screw to get all those things attached..........
I'll fix it sooner or later..........

Ground it to the battery.......... You can order wire, terminals, etc from Amazon, Crutchfield, Sonic Electronics and so on.

The only place on the frame I would Ground to would be the ground post about 6" forward of the battery.

That’s where I put mine, a good chassis star ground will keep you from having loop or intermittent troubles.
