I love my Fat Boy Lo. I think the contrast sets off the components nicely, and draws the eye to the bike. No, not eveyone is going to like them, but that's why they make more than one Harley model. To each their own.
I have 1,000 on my Lo and am seriously regretting my purchase.
Seat is killing me, handlebars suck, aluminum has always been pitting. I am going to try changing the seat then maybe the handlebars. Any suggestions appreciated.

I have the street slammer bars and love them. still trying to get used to the seat -- had a huge pelvic injury 2 years ago, so i don;t think any seat will help me out.
I have no regrets on the bike and sorry to hear you aren't satisfied.

+1 on the Street Slammers. Give them a try before you give up on it.
If I had the cash I would've gotten the fat boy lo instead of my iron. Something about it just looks right. Enough of it is blacked out and enough of it isn't. I like how they left the fins and the oil lines polished. They pop out at you and remind you you're looking at a motorcycle. Very mechanical, very old school.
The stance that DaveFLSTFB's has looks perfect to me. Looks waay better with a solo saddle too. Good job man.

Sorry to hear your Fat Boy Lo isn't comfortable. I'm sure each of us is gonna have a somewhat different experience, but I'll tell you that for me, putting a Corbin seat on was a no regrets move. I've got 5000 miles on mine since I got it in Sept. last year, and in May I took a road trip that kept me riding for about 8 hours. When I got to where I was going, I was tired, but I wasn't sore. I could have kept going. I hope you find a way to take care of it!
i like the look of the fatboy lo solo rides well but 2 up lousy, i have tryed playning with shocks no luck i talk to motorcyle people everybody has a differnent story about adusting the schocks i give up

Don't know if this information is to late for your seat problems. I had a real bad time riding my FXDX with the stock seat. My legs would go numb before I got to the first stop light. Also, my butt would be soaked because the seat does not breathe.
I purchased a seat from Bar Enterprises. Custom made to fit me and my Dyna. I had the seat covered with the vinyl instead of the leather. Can't tell the difference. No more wet butt. I also had them but in the Millennium Foam.
I had this seat for four years now and never want to stop riding because of the seat not being comfortable.
