Default 50mpg on the new Bones!

I checked my mileage twice with 2000 miles on my new Bones (factory setup) and I got between 47-50 mpg on the highway. I just installed V&H Bigshots, a Fuelpak and Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake. The mileage seems to be about the same, perhaps a tiny bit better. Got to love the fact that you can look cool, love the ride and still get gas mileage almost as good as a scooter!

Thats the only TC softail I ever heard of getting over 46mpg's.
even more so using the Fuel pac...

Just wondering how many miles do U get on a full tank before Ur reserve light comes on?

Wow! thats outrageous! Im a bit envious. I was getting between 43-45 with BR's / Fuelpak and Vo2 cleaner but still figuring out the same setups without baffles. Had to remap the fuelpak which I wasnt so fond of.

I've rode with a coulple EVO's that made 50, but all the TC's Softails I ride with and have talked to seem to all get between 38-44. Around a dozen or so bikes.
I've been checking mine since the cams were put in, just putting around mostly 35-55 mph in 3-4-5 gears. (We ride 2up,390# total). I've averaged 43.2mpg for 1850 miles, no interstate.
Best for One ride was a 140 round trip, mostly state hiways (55-65), she got 46.2 on that one.

I get between 38-40 on my 09 heritage but I like to listen to my pipes alot so that could be why I get a little less.

I've noticed that when my gauge is showing 3/4 empty it's really only about 2.2 gallons down. The way I checked my mileage is top it off and reset tripometer to "0", ride 100 miles then top off again and do the math. I never wait for my "reserve light" to come on, I just top off whenever I see the gauge below 1/2. I also own two Vespa scooters, a 250cc and 150cc. We only average 70mpg on these, so the reported Harley mpg is very impressive.

Thumbs up

I just figured my last tank last night 52.8 mpg with very little stop and go, mostly open road at 65-70 mph. Leaving for Sturgis friday, averaged 50-52 last year on the ride there, and over 2000 miles of that was in rain.
