Default Beep,Beep ???

What's with the horns on the new ('09 -'10) Harleys ??? Sounds like something from a Road Runner Cartoon. Dave

Get one of these. Pure unadulterated blastage. Little extra wiring to power the thing directly off the battery for max blasting power. I love this thing.

Horns are better with Air. Millions of long haul Truckers and Freight Trains cant be wrong!

With less $, you could get the NAPA horn ($15) 133 DB's. Others have done this on the forum and its a direct bolt on replacement....easy day. You could even go with a horn cover if you like..

From what I've learned in other threads, go to NAPA Online PartsPRO SE and search by part number for "BK 7301046" (don't forget the space!) It's $23.99. 134db and should fit well on the Rocker.

He? If so its a metal arts 130DB Airhorn:http://www.customdynamics.com/metal_arts_air_horns.htm

To get up in 130DB plus range ya' gotta do a bit of extra wiring as the stock horn circut cant push enough amperage to really do much better than stock. Hence you gotta run a relay and the horns must be powered of pure 12V with lots of amps and the OEM horn wires also run to the relay.

Takes all of 30 minutes to an hour to run all the wires nice and neatly. I cant imagine anything that honks at 130DB being able to do so off the minimal amount of amps through just the stock horn switch. The amount of power provided through just that OEM switch isnt enough to do much of anything.

My factory horn on my 08 Train is LAF. I'm sure it's not nearly as loud as that monster Chaz has, but it serves me fine. I have to use it all the time around these parts, too many methheads floating around.............
