I've had mine up to 115 in 5th, shifted to 6th and it quit pulling but held the speed. Tried it again just last weekend and it wouldn't go past 112, only thing different was this time I had the rain sock over my AC. Don't know if that would make any difference or not.
the report RULES. Definitely keeping that on file for future fun.

PS: took mine to about 90 mph. Definitely NOT my old ZX1100

Yes a box stock Honda V65 Sabre (mine) will out run my X Bones even with the Stage II 103 kit. I've had it up over 145mph indicated.
Speed is not why I bought the Harley. The Harley brings a lot to the motorcycle experience besides speed. Considering the nostalgia aspect of the machine it's extremely sophisticated and delivers according to its purpose. The riding position, heel toe shifter, accessory availability all adds up to sweetness. The Honda simply cannot provide that.
What's with all the harsh replies to what I think is a legit question? He asked if it was normal, a simple question. If he hadn't mentioned that he had another manufacturers bike then everyone would have answered respectfully I assume?
Here's a honest answer for ya. My 04 Deuce 95" with minimal motor work will run 120-130 no problem. But you push these motors this hard they will grenade on you, period. I would say 100 for a stock harley is the norm. I, like you had a Honda before, a RC-51, their v-twin sport bike. It's two different worlds Harleys are made to crusie all day long 70-80mph. Jap bikes run hard as hell, put out astronomical power but for the most part are **** for 500 plus miles a day. I liked my Honda but I love my Harley.
Each one has there place but when you come to a Harley board some guys are gonna jump your **** as soon as you say anything other than Harley. I for one are glad you are here and welcome.

Agreed, you should be able to ask anything you want, but you better be able to take a joke. If he hadn't gotten mad so quick he would probably have gotten alot more serious answers.
if your wanting more top end speed try changing out your rear sprocket to gain a little other than that I have had no vibration problems at high speeds on my 06 ..... try balancing the wheels ...
I love that report .. dido on the saved for future fun
