dozer...my apologies. I misunderstood the type of covers you are using. In a word, yes if you loosen the adjuster bolt you need to assure that the wheel does not move and you should check the specific length of each adjuster bolt on both sides when complete. I use a caliper to assure the same/identical length of each side, but any reliable measuring tool will work. I hope this helps a tad. Again, my apologies
