Sounds like lifter rattle
Picked up a new FXSTI on Wednesday the 24th and about 2 days later, I noticed a rattling sound almost like lifters rattling while I begin to go thru the gears. Seems to settle down once I get to cruising speed for that paticular gear. Also noted that it seems to have a little hesitation in 1st thru 3rd gear.
Does anyone have any opinions on what might be the problem if any.

Harley motors make noise, mine is quieter when cold. It has valve train noise more when its warm, but with 30k on it its never been an issue. I thought it had a problem also, bought adjustable pushrods when I replaced the cams, still noisey.

Well I hope that that's all it is. It's just a little disconcerting I guess. This is my first Harley so I'm still learning all the little things about it/them. I'll still mention it when I take it for it's first service just to see what they "tell" me.
