Now the delima-- she wants it chromed out-- where are the best places to find a good assortment of chrome?
Also need good, comfortable seat in back.

All your chrome at the dealer , the back seat at the dealer as well. Enjoy your new Heritage . They are awesome bikes !
What!?! A woman changing her mind!?! I can't hardly believe it .
There's an endless supply of chrome out there - H-D Dealers - Local Independents - and, of course, the net. Just did a Google search for "harley chrome" and got "1 thru 10 of about 3,040,000" results. Make sure you get a Harley catalog, the big thick one. Then you can be as confused as me when you're trying to figure out which specific H-D part number you want to order from Zanotti online. BTW - if you think a Harley's purchase price is a little high, hold onto your wallet - you ain't seen nuthin' yet... check out the price just to chrome out your handlebar switches & housings. Or the price for passenger floor boards & covers (what's up with that!?!). Once you're bit by the bug $100 bills disappear like peanuts at a bar. But Hey, at least you got the little lady standin' behind you for support and don't have to fight that battle on the flip-side like some of us.
But it's all worth it in the end when you're toolin' down the boulevard on YOUR custom ride and gleamin' like the sun. Enjoy!
Look at the Road King before diving into a Heritage. No doubt the Heritage is a great bike but for the same price range you can get a bike that looks very similar, rides better (most people think so) and has all the touring options available to it. Plus in 2 years you won't be looking to "Upgrade" to a touring bike because you'll already be there... Also buy a used one...get more chrome that way
I sold my softail for a touring bike so I'm kinda biased. Found my fatboy (stripped down Heritage) buzzy on long rides which I found myself doing more and more of.

She told me today "Definitely the Heritage. Now go find a comfortable two up seat".
Like the intelligent person I am, my answer was "Yes dear"
