Default Fatboy Screen Fitting

Hope you can help me , I have just got a quick release windshield for my Fatboy 08 together with the 4 bolts to fasten onto the forks . Prob i do not have any instructions .

I guess the bolt with just the plastic fitting goes at the bottom and the one with the chrome extension is for the quick release at the top , am I right ?

Also when releasing the existing bolts on the forks do you just remove each bolt separately or do you have to remove any of the fairing from around the forks

cheers

Mike

Yes, thats how they fit. Replace them 1 at a time and nothing will move so there is nothing to line up.

I have found that if you dont tighten them all the way up until you have the windshield on the first time it make it easier to remove and repalce the shield later. Also sometimes a little wd 40 or lithium greese on the rubber makes the shield go on easier until it breaks in
